Sorry to most of you who had guessed it was a boy...the ultrasound (unless God decides to edit this) showed pretty convincingly that the next Hetrick to be added to our household is yet another female! Wow! Anyone want to contribute to the ever growing need in the future of a Wedding Fund? Just kidding...this is completely amazing and we are really excited!
The baby seemed very healthy, which makes us very grateful. And JT is excited too...which just shows God's grace in his life. He's excited that Daddy and he will still be the only "Mans" in the house. When Daddy is away, he still doesn't have to share his 'manly' duties with anyone yet. yet...
Well, the contest will continue...and I think what I will do is give a little prize to each of those who guessed girl, so that we can concentrate on the next milestone, which is the arrival date.
WHICH, I have to say...was most rudely changed...rude for those of you who guessed later than earlier...they adjusted the due date to August 12th now...sorry about that!
Due to their measurements, the baby is about 20 weeks already...not just 19...so they adjusted the date according to that.
Well, if anyone wants to edit their guess on the due date, please feel free to do that, and we'll give a prize to the person who most closely gets it. (earlier or later...none of this stuff of "you have to be earlier than the date").

Names (Boy or Girl until we know for sure)
We're wondering if folks could provide us with some help for the name of this baby. It's not like we'll only go with your suggestions, but we'd like to have a little bit of help on the brainstorming side of things.
So, feel free to add your thoughts on what names you could see matching with the rest of us: Jeremy, Kate, JT (Jeremiah Todd), Bethany Grace, and Charity Kate Hetrick.
We've got a good thing going so far with the names (we've not yet regretted one)...
but if you have some thoughts, feel free to send them to us! Please don't suggest names you might use (for younger couples or singles) some day...and preferably no names that are used for folks we know that are close to us...etc, etc.

We'll try and post the results as we get them. If it's a girl, so far, it's two horse race with Jill and Jocelyn. Something tells me that it's a boy...do you think the majority would be able to tell us prophetic knowledge of the gender of the baby?? Who knows! JT thinks it is a boy though...and folks have told us that children sometimes are able to tell. That's pretty silly, but, again, only the LORD knows!!!

Doing Well! and Guess The Baby's Sex and Birthday!
Well, it's been awhile since we last posted.
we're doing well now, after surviving the flu as an entire family! Thanks for all of you who have prayed for us!
This post will be quick and to the point as well...we'll post again soon, I promise!
We're doing a little contest to see who can guess the baby's sex and birthday (to the day). If you'd like to do so, please just add a comment to this post and we'll add it to our summary excel. We're going to be giving a small prize to the winner. (please also add the time of day as well, since we have already had a lot and we need a tie breaker!).

Willow Valley Bound and a Special Gift!
We're finally going to do it.
Our kids have been wanting to go again, and we've finally made the arrangements to head to Willow Valley this upcoming week. Tomorrow, after church, we'll travel and stay with kate's parents until Monday morning, and then head across the Susquehanna River and go stay at Willow Valley for a few days. The kids are ecstatic, and we are excited too!!
It should be a good family time...
Praise God that we can do something like this! What a blessing!
Speaking of blessings, for weeks, it seems, Bethany was so desirous of going to someone's house who has a 'pretend' microwave. Apparently, over the holidays, she had played with a few of them, and would really like to do it more often. Kate made a 'pretend box' microwave even for her, but that one got used up quite quickly!
But, unbeknownst to us, God had something up His sleeve to bless our little Bethany!
Someone in our church called us out of the blue on Thursday, and asked if we would like their play kitchen set. You guessed it! It includes a 'pretend' microwave. Without knowing our little girl's desire, a family in the church was clearing out their house some, and gave us their kitchen set. You should see Bethany's joy with that thing!!! As Kate put it, "Isn’t that cool that God heard and responded to our little lady’s desire to have a pretend microwave??" So, cool!!!
Thank You Father, for giving good gifts to us Your children, and then to our children as well!!

Prayer Requests
I thought I would put out some prayer requests of how you can be praying for us and for those we know:
-Brian & Sarah Herr (Grace Community): we were excited that both they and we were going to have our 4th child within a month of each other, but we just found out through their blog that they had a miscarriage. Please pray for faith, grace, and comfort for them as they deal with this difficult loss. They are doing well in faith and grace, but please do lift them to the Lord.
--Strength for Kate during this pregnancy. She's more tired now than she has ever been with any of the pregnancies to date. Also, pray for me to be selfless in my serving of the family, especially her. Dishes, dishes, and more dishes!!
---For our church: land and a building. I believe God is going to provide something soon, but please pray for this provision. I can see how a building could aid us in our ministry to the community with the Gospel. As we wait, also please pray for contentment for us as a leadership team. We want to please God with faith and with patience, waiting upon His timing and plan.

10 weeks along!
Hello, all!
Kate had her first appointment with her new OBGYN here in Pittsburgh today. The approximate dating of her due date is August 20th this year. She is about 10 weeks along, the doctor estimated.
All in all, the doctor predicted a pretty normal pregnancy and healthy one at that. He said the possibilities of issues along the way are really not high, especially since Kate gets the award for being the healthiest woman of the year! Not bad for someone who is carrying her 4th child in 4 and a half years. Phew!!
Please continue to pray for her strength, as she is chasing around 3 little ones, 4 and under. The kids are doing well and very excited for the new little one, but don't understand that Mommy needs some rest from time to time. Pray for grace as Kate continues throughout this pregnancy.

Steelers Season is Over....bummer...
Yes, it is true, we've grown a little fond of the local home team here in Pittsburgh. Unfortunately, they lost last weekend to the Jags.
This weekend, the next team we were rooting for lost: Indy Colts. Kate loves them because she likes the coach, Tony Dungy. :( BUT, one good upside to this weekend: Favre won, and so did the Giants. No Cowboys in the NFC Championship game! Woo=hoo!!!
Well, to better and more important things here. We have recouped somewhat from the holidays and also from some sicknesses that have passed through our family a little bit.
Kate is doing well with the pregnancy so far. Next Monday, she has her appt with her dr out here to see how things are progressing. Yes, just in case you didn't know....we are expecting #4... God is being so good to us, as we couldn't have planned it this way, and also have been given much faith and excitement towards having an additional little one running around us.
JT thinks he's getting a little brother...but we're not sure yet...it woudl be nice for him, but we love our girls too!! The Lord will decide what is best for our family. JT will at least be the protector of his little sisters anyway. He's already done some of that already.....but he needs to be better at protecting them from himself!!!
Things are going well here at Providence. We are just finishing up our series on the book of Philippians and are going to head into a series on Evangelism (Pursue and Proclaim), which should start on January 27th. I'm definitely excited about that!
JT and Bethany are doing very well, as is Charity. JT is now counting to 100, and Bethany is getting her alphabet down pretty well. She has some help from watching JT. The other day, she and JT were out on the driveway with sidewalk chalk and Mommy asked JT to write a little note Daddy to see when he arrived home from work. Bethany proceeded to write HI, while JT wrote a little more detailed message. It was such a great thing to see!!!
Kate's pretty much begun homeschooling with JT, as she is teaching him to read. Pretty amazing that he's actually the one initiating this!!!
Well, it's getting a little late in the evening now...
we hope you are all doing very well!
May God's grace found only in Jesus be your steadfast foundation this week and month!
